Numbers play a big role in everyone's number, social security numbers, address, height, weight, age, etc. Some numbers have special meanings: birthday, anniversary, lucky numbers, mystical numbers. In this class, we will use vintage ruler segments to create a brooch, pendant or ring with a number that has special meaning to you. Then add some fancy sawing to further enhance the number's significance. You will learn how to construct a rectangular enclosure with sharp, square corners...a skill that has many applications. Making two or more pieces should be possible in this one-day class.
